Questions, answered
The questions people ask most when they start using Clevermore.
Getting started
The panel is too narrow.
Use the pop-out button (Open in browser) at the top right of Clevermore. It opens Clevermore full size in your web browser, with the same tasks and matters, so you get your Outlook space back. You can also move Outlook’s reading pane to the bottom (View → Reading Pane → Bottom) to give the panel more room.
How long until I see tasks?
Setup takes about five minutes. Clevermore then reads the window you chose (a day, three days or a week), which takes a few minutes depending on how much email you have. After that, new email shows up within a minute or so.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, once setup is done on a computer. Add Clevermore to your home screen and sign in with the same work account.
Tasks
A task is wrong, or isn’t mine.
Open it and choose ··· → Not quite right…, then say what’s wrong: a duplicate, not a task, too broad, or in your own words (“this is Will’s, I’m just tracking it”). Clevermore uses it to fix the task where it can.
I got a task for something I already did.
Clevermore leans toward catching too much rather than missing something. When a later email shows a task is finished, it’s marked Clevermore Marked Done for you to confirm. To have those close on their own, turn on Auto-complete tasks when done in Settings.
Alerts or newsletters keep creating tasks.
Ask the assistant to block the sender, or on one of those tasks choose ··· → Not quite right… → I don’t want tasks from this sender. The list is under Blocked senders in Settings.
An email didn’t create a task.
That’s often deliberate: emails with no request, commitment or deadline don’t become tasks. If one should have, ask the assistant to create it.
Do I need to write emails differently?
No. Write as you always do; Clevermore picks up requests and promises in plain language.
Can I see one flat list instead of groups by client?
Yes. In Tasks, open Display and set grouping to None, then sort by due date, priority or status.
Will Clevermore send email for me?
Never on its own. Every reply it drafts opens for you to review, and nothing goes out until you send it.
Your mailbox
What are the colored categories on my email?
Clevermore tags email with its client (💼), its kind (📨) and the status of its task (📋). Don’t want them? Turn off Tag emails in Outlook in Settings; everything else keeps working. Remove Clevermore categories, in the same place, clears existing ones.
Which email does Clevermore read?
The folders listed under Folders to analyze in Settings; change them any time. Process new emails, also in Settings, pauses it at any time without losing anything.
How do I stop using Clevermore?
Remove it from your mailbox in a few minutes.
Privacy and security
Can my colleagues see my tasks?
No. Your tasks and matters come from your own mailbox; colleagues working in their own mailboxes don’t see them.
Where does my email go? Is it used to train AI?
Your firm’s data is kept separate from every other firm’s. The AI providers Clevermore uses keep nothing and never train on it. The details are in our Trust Center.
Getting help
Can the assistant answer questions about Clevermore?
Yes. Open it from the round Clevermore button at the bottom right and ask how to do anything.
How do I give feedback?
Tell the assistant, or choose Submit feedback in it, and it goes straight to our team. For a single task, use ··· → Not quite right….
Something isn’t working.
See Troubleshooting.
Still stuck? Ask the assistant inside Clevermore, or email support@clevermore.ai.
